Chris Hemsworth’s Unique Workout for a Strong and Fit Body Without Weights

When it comes to staying in top shape, few Hollywood actors do it as uniquely as Chris Hemsworth. Hailing from Melbourne, this 40-year-old actor has a different approach to achieving a sculpted upper body and those coveted washboard abs – and it doesn’t involve traditional weights. Yes, you read that correctly – there’s not a dumbbell in sight, which is quite surprising for someone like Chris.

Instead, he’s all about embracing various functional fitness routines that use everyday gym equipment and body movements to create a complete full-body workout. So, if you’re curious about the difference between strength training (which is Chris’s speciality) and functional fitness, it boils down to exercises that mimic daily activities like walking, pushing, and bending. While doing these exercises, you can still build strength and muscle, just not to the same extent as traditional strength training.

Chris’s workout comprises seven different exercises, most of which you can easily do at home with the right equipment. If not, you should find everything you need at your local gym. Interestingly, he didn’t provide specific sets and reps this time, but don’t worry; we’ve got you covered. Take a 60 to 90-second breather between each exercise, lace up your best workout shoes, and keep your trusty gym water bottle close – you’ll need it!

Sprints – Sprint for 20 seconds, then take a one-minute break. Repeat this four times.

Medicine Ball Slams – Perform three sets of 30 seconds each.

Battle Ropes – Three sets of 30 seconds for each round.

Medicine Ball Standing Rotations – Aim for three sets with 10 reps on each side.

Medicine Ball Wood Chops – Three sets of 10 reps on each side.

Push-Ups – Complete three sets of 10 reps each.

Bear Crawls – Do four sets covering a distance of 30 meters each.

Consider using a reliable fitness tracker to monitor your performance during these sessions, including the number of calories burned. If you’re eager for more of Chris Hemsworth’s workout routines, we’ve also covered his main exercise regimen and his intense upper body workout, in case you’re interested in some heavier weight-based training.
